Aims & Objectives
The objectives for the NorthWest4 road safety program:
- To support and develop behaviour change programs for young people 17-25 within the NorthWest4 region.
- To increase participation and uptake of road safety programs promoted by NorthWest4
- Develop partnerships between Council, Victoria Police and other relevant partners that will influence and encourage behaviour change to reduce incidence of serious injuries to young drivers aged 17-25.
- Investigate and develop opportunities to deliver road safety messages to young people within their networks and social networks.
Hume, Moreland, Moonee Valley and Darebin show that motorcyclists, bicyclists and pedestrians are more likely to be seriously injured or killed in these municipalities than in the Melbourne Statistical Division
